Robert J. McHenry is a highly successful and well-respected trial and appellate attorney, concentrating in the defense of medical malpractice, products liability and general liability claims for the entirety of his professional career. He has successfully represented physicians before the Office of Professional Conduct of New York State Department of Health. He has lectured to physician and hospital groups on topics related to the avoidance of, and response to, professional negligence claims. He has advised physicians regarding compliance with legal requirements related to their private practice of medicine. Bob received his B.A. degree from Catholic University and his J.D. from Fordham University. His first legal position after completing his studies was law clerk to then New York State Supreme Court Justice Mario Pittoni. Since the completion of his clerkship, he has been engaged in the private practice of civil defense law as an associate and partner before becoming a founding member of McHenry & Horan, PC in 1983. He is a member of the New York State Bar as well as the licensed to practice law in the Eastern and Southern Districts of the Federal Court in the State of New York.
